Holi celebrations & Himalayan trek Nature & AdventureCulture & History

2019: March 18 - March 30

During that trip, our compass took us to India and nothing felt more right! First We longed to see the Taj-mahal, one of the seven wonders of the world, along with the Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah, Agra Fort and the Fatehpur sikri, a mughal city that goes back to the 16th century.
Then, we went to Vrindavan, where we celebrated the Holi festival of colors in the city it all started from. Needless to say, it was colorful :p but no Bollywood movie could’ve captured the festival as we lived it.
After these city breaks, we followed our map all the way up to Mandi, where we hiked, camped and spent the night listening to stories around the campfire.
Manali was for sure worthy of a city tour but we couldn’t stay away from nature so we went hiking and camping on a snowy himalayan mountain.
As for the icing on the cake, we did paragliding in Bir, the second best place for paragliding in the world! So Yes, India has it all!
Last but not the least, we closed the indian chapter on a very spiritual note by visiting Dharamshala, the home of the Dalai Lama.
Goodbye India : may fate bring us back!
