"What an adventure ! Tunisia has decidedly lots of surprises in store for all the curious who bother to listen to its melodies ! Hence, Wantotrip decided to prick up an ear and surrender to the sounds of the South for a weekend, one vividly vibrant weekend !
First, we made a visit to the third biggest roman amphitheater nestled in El Jem.
Then we were out enjoying the dense palm grove of Gabès, after which, we headed to Douiret’s troglodyte houses where we spent the night and relished a warm couscous party !
Chenini was also on the list, being one of the Star Wars’ moons, we couldn’t miss it !
And then there was Ksar Ghilane ! Between its hot spring and its silky sand dunes that we coursed both on quads and on foot, our hearts were conquered!
We also got to spend a folkloric night while camping in the heart of the desert and amidst the hospitality of the locals.
And the journey ended with a halt at Matmata, one of the cities that most inspired Ibn Khaldoun. "
